The Motto Individual Assessment™ is a mindset measurement tool.

 

Not only is it able to determine a person’s self-awareness, but it also identifies specific development areas to help individuals progress in their careers. This self assessment can form the start of a personal transformation journey and contribute to meaningful life change experiences.

The Motto Individual Assessment™ shows how an individual perceives his/her current mindset and self-perceptions are indicated. The feedback on the assessment is effectively used to give insight on how an individual currently experiences his/her unique personal development needs. The assessment results therefore have to be applied to the specific circumstances the person is facing.

 

It is a fantastic tool to be used by businesses in OD (organisational development) strategies, specifically in Mentorship Processes, Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) and team development initiatives.

 

It is strongly advised that you discuss the results with an Accredited Facilitator. A list of these consultants and their areas of expertise is available on the Motto website. Each of these specialist Business Partners deals with specific development areas on group as well as individual level.

 

A report that explains your individual results, as well as possible improvement strategies will be emailed directly to you shortly after the feedback session.

 

Ideally, the Individual Assessment should be completed after a period (3 months to a year) in order to reflect on personal development and progress made to date.

Some background on the tool:

 

The assessment is based on the Internal Marketing research and Motto Model™ developed by Dr. Mariheca Otto. In this case, the Motto Model™ is focused on the individual’s personal vision or life purpose. The well known “P’s” of marketing are then implemented on the individual’s life.

 

This application of the model clearly highlights the extent to which the individual is purpose driven as well as specific development focus areas. The constructs measured are the individual’s internal Product, Price, Promotion, distribution tools or “Place”, supportive internal Processes as well as the People construct (see diagram). Parallels therefore exist between the external, internal and individual marketing or positioning strategy.
